THE MANNER

9 kg coffee

This is not a donation. Not a CSR measure. It is the manner in which we do what we do.

THE COVENANT — READ-ONLY PREVIEW

ARTICLE 01

The Parties

KHAYBAR and the Steward are collectively referred to as "the Parties." They enter into this agreement in the spirit of care, responsibility, and shared values.

ARTICLE 02

The Nature of the Partnership

This agreement governs an office coffee partnership: KHAYBAR supplies roasted coffee seeds to the Steward. The Steward places this coffee at the heart of their own working community — on their own machine, in their own space, for their own people.

Every kilogram the Steward purchases from KHAYBAR falls under the 9:1 Manner: for every 9 kilograms purchased, KHAYBAR prepares one fresh meal and gives it away — without conditions, without compensation, without any obligation to publicise.

A Steward does not purchase. A Steward tends. Every morning, every meeting, every shared cup between colleagues is a seed planted. The Steward takes responsibility for what grows.

ARTICLE 03

Supply of Roasted Coffee

KHAYBAR supplies roasted coffee seeds to the Steward based on a separately agreed delivery schedule — weekly, fortnightly, or monthly. Origin, volume, and pricing are confirmed in writing per delivery or per quarterly agreement.

The Steward receives wholesale pricing based on monthly volume purchased, reviewed annually in consultation with both Parties.

ARTICLE 04

Care & Quality

The Steward manages the coffee with care — proper storage, correct preparation, respectful handling of the product. KHAYBAR offers, on request, a complimentary introduction session for the Steward's responsible team member(s).

The Steward is free to choose their own equipment and brew method. KHAYBAR does not supply equipment but advises on request regarding the most suitable preparation for the chosen coffee seeds.

The Steward communicates KHAYBAR's presence internally — on the machine, on the packaging, or via a message to the team — so that employees know their daily cup contributes to feeding others.

ARTICLE 05

The Steward Certification & Visibility

Upon signing this agreement, the Steward receives the official KHAYBAR Steward Certification — a digital mark of quality indicating that the organisation participates in the 9:1 Manner.

The Steward is listed in the KHAYBAR Steward overview on khaybar.nl. Employees, clients, and visitors can see that the organisation actively contributes to feeding others through their daily coffee consumption.

Use of the Steward Certification is permitted only while this agreement is in force and purchase commitments are met.

ARTICLE 06

The 9:1 Manner — The Meal Obligation

For every 9 kilograms of coffee the Steward purchases from KHAYBAR, KHAYBAR prepares one fresh meal and gives it away. The meal obligation rests with KHAYBAR, not the Steward.

KHAYBAR documents every generated meal in its impact register. The Steward's name appears in this register as a co-contributor, unless the Steward declines this in writing.

The Steward may request a quarterly overview of meals generated through their purchases. This overview may be used for internal employee communication or external CSR reporting.

ARTICLE 07

Invoicing & Payment

KHAYBAR invoices the Steward per delivery or monthly, depending on agreed delivery frequency. Payment is due within 14 days of the invoice date.

All amounts are exclusive of VAT, stated on the invoice in accordance with Dutch tax regulations.

ARTICLE 08

Duration & Termination

This agreement comes into effect on the start date stated below, for an indefinite period with a minimum initial term of 3 months. After the initial period, either Party may terminate with 30 days' written notice.

KHAYBAR may terminate with immediate effect if the Steward misuses the Steward Certification or acts contrary to the spirit of the 9:1 Manner.

ARTICLE 09

Governing Law

This agreement is governed by Dutch law. Any disputes shall be submitted to the competent court in Amsterdam, unless the Parties agree in writing to resolve the dispute through mediation. The Dutch version of this agreement is the legally binding version.
